Dorota Piotrowska | Drums | PL/USA

Dorota earned her bachelor’s degree in Jazz Performance at The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music in New York with a concentration in drums in 2012.

 

Since arriving in the US in 2010, Dorota has performed at Carnegie Hall with classical composer Bob Chilcott, Lincoln Center's Avery Fisher Hall with classical composer Will Todd and with jazz notables George Garzone, Jeremy Pelt, Mark Soskin, Lonnie Plaxico, Rory Stuart, Sam Newsome, Stacy Dilliard, Mike Rodriguez, Lafayette Harris, Benito Gonzales, Anthony Wonsey, Eric Wyatt, Greg Lewis, Carlo De Rosa, and The Curtis Brothers.

 

In 2018 Dorota moved back to Poland where she started a collaboration with Danish vocalist Cæcilie Norby and the European Sisters in Jazz. She has been touring with Steve Carrington Quintet, Ewa Uryga, and Joanna Dark. Dorota appears as a side musician on a few records.
